Day passes are available for all development sessions but are offered on a case-by-case basis for squad sessions. Please contact the club for further information.  

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS AND UNLIMITED DEVELOPMENT?

Persons under the age of 18 are allowed to train at the club, however it will be required that they provide consent from a parent or guardian. 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS AND SQUAD SESSIONS? 

We offer one free trial session at the club for one of our development sessions. 

HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHICH MEMBERSHIP IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Development sessions are coached sessions where a coach is there to overlook the session and give help where need be. All members will start at development sessions.

Squad sessions are for athletes who actively compete at a national or higher level within powerlifting. These sessions are via invite only. 

Development membership gives you access to one or two coached sessions per week, designed to build your skills safely and help you reach your goals, with structured guidance and support specifically focussed on the three lifts. 


Unlimited Development takes it further, giving you up to five coached sessions per week, with full access to all club programs. These are fully led sessions where a coach guides you through your entire workout for extra structure and progression.

We offer a free trial session where you can attend a development session and speak directly to one of our coaches. They’ll help you understand your options, assess your experience and goals, and guide you toward the membership that best fits you. Ww have memberships suitable for everyone, whether you’re just starting out, looking to build strength, or aiming to compete. Book your free trial today.

The British Barbell Kickstarter Membership is designed for lifters who want to experience the full British Barbell coaching environment before committing long term.

 

What's Included:

  • Full access to all 5 coached development sessions

  • 1 squad session per week, training alongside the core British Barbell team

  • Complete club programming

  • A clear look at the culture, coaching quality, and community that British Barbell offers

 

This membership is about giving you a genuine, no-compromise introduction to British Barbell so you can decide if it’s the right fit for you.

The Unlimited Powerlifting Membership offers full access to the British Barbell coaching environment for athletes who want maximum support and structure.

 

What's Included:​

  • Up to 5 coached development sessions per week

  • Full access to all British Barbell club programming

  • The ability to attend 2 fully led classes per week, alongside standard technical sessions

This membership is ideal for athletes seeking consistency, high-quality coaching, and a highly supported training environment.

The British Barbell Program-Only Membership Add-On is designed for athletes who want access to structured, competition-focused programming without attending coached sessions.

What’s Included:

  • Complete programming for all competition lifts (squat, bench press, and deadlift)

  • Logical progressions designed to build strength, improve performance, and maintain long-term development

  • All accessory work included, supporting weak points, balance, and injury resilience

  • Structured warm-ups for each session, ensuring you are prepared to train effectively and safely
     

For Higher-Level Competitors:​

Athletes competing at IPF international events or British/English Powerlifting national championships will receive a bespoke competition-specific program, which will run alongside the standard club program, but adjusted to meet the demands and timelines of these championships.

Free Trial Session

If you are unsure about which membership is right for you, or just want to come down and try before you sign up, we offer a free trial session for anyone interested. This gives you the chance to come down and see the club, as well as chat to one of our coaches.
